Twilight Baby cake!

Brittany commissioned a twilight cake for her friend Dandi's Baby Shower. Apparently, Dandi is a huge twilight fan just like the rest of us! I was super excited to design this cake as I'm also a gigantic fan of the twilight series but I have to admit Bryan got particularly excited about this one. He loves straight lines and exactness so this checkerboard cake was right up his alley. We had so much fun making it together and I hear that Dandy's baby shower was a blast as well! Hope you had fun ladies! (thanks for sharing your pictures with us Brittany!)

Autumn Wedding

The new Mr. and Mrs. Casey Muns had a beautiful poolside wedding that we were very pleased to be a part of. The Bride and Groom radiated an enthusiastic joy as they exchanged vows at Saguaro Ranch Park and then guests headed to the reception for a night of yummy food and dancing! Tearah picked an elegant four tiered cake with gorgeous autumn colored flowers (to match the ones in her hair!) and it turned out beautifully. For this cake, we used frosting instead of fondant and for the first time decided to transport the cake already stacked. We were a little worried about the ride over so we decided to use several wooden dowels to keep it from sliding. IT WAS HEAVY! Bryan carried it and about died after 30 feet. Luckily everything worked out and the wedding was perfect!

My 23rd Birthday

I turned 23 this month (yikes!) and had the privilege of celebrating my birthday with all of my very best friends in Utah. A cookout including my favorite food (hot dogs), a reunion with good friends, and one yummy birthday cake made my 23rd birthday (am I really that old?!) a pretty great one.

Melissa and I shared our joint birthdays by 'blowing out' sparklers instead of candles. Maybe that means we'll get bigger wishes too...

Winnie The Pooh 1st Birthday Cake!

It was pretty obvious why Emily and Tanner requested a Winnie The Pooh cake for Kendal's first birthday when we went to make our delivery. Kendal loves Pooh! She was super cute in her Pooh outfit with her giant Pooh doll all dressed up for her big day! I grew up with Emily and I can't believe she's been a mom for a whole year! So happy 1st birthday Kendal, and happy one year of mommyhood to Emily!

Oh they say when you marry in June...wedding cake

We had so much fun working on Lisa and Daniel's wedding cake! Lisa was very specific about wanting a beautiful and impressive cake in her colors of charcoal and lapis purple with FIVE layers! This was our first cake with more than three layers and Bryan and I were excited about the challenge. The triple chocolate recipe the Mortensen's chose was super delicious and had guests coming back for seconds and thirds! It was a hot June Arizona day leaving the bride a little sunburned after pictures, but she was beautiful and we enjoyed being a part of their big day!

Pretty in Pink Wedding cake

Matt and Kara's cake was a collaberation. My brother Matt is talented and creative with pretty much everything he does but he especially enjoys working with food. Matt and Kara dated in high school and Kara's been obsessed with the color pink for about that long so it was no suprise she chose pink roses for their wedding theme. Matt came up with the design for this cake and Bry and I helped him execute it. The top layer is cheesecake-Kara's favorite.

Angela the amazing floral artist did all the flower arrangements! Check her our at theposiepatch.blogspot.com

Daisies n' Polka-Dots Wedding Cake

Abby and David's cake was a blast to decorate! The bride requested white polka dots on a white background and the rest was up to us! Bryan came up with the creative design and I added the flowers for some color and fun. They served green and white cupcakes to the guests and smashed cupcakes in each other's faces as well as cake!
